Accelerate Global is a collaborative project working to identify and engage the world’s remaining Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs) — those with no known church or active missionary presence, and no access to the gospel.
Many of these groups have been missed not just because they’re remote, difficult to access, or face geopolitical risk, but because they’ve been left off the map. We’re putting them on the map.
Our work is based on the scriptural promise that all ethnē (people groups) would hear the gospel. Missions organizations across the globe are striving to reduce the number of unreached peoples. Accelerate is focused on peoples yet to be engaged with the gospel with no known efforts to establish churches and disciples. Acknowledging these groups means the number of unengaged may rise first, not fall. But clarity matters.

We believe that good data, rooted in local knowledge and ownership, leads to real gospel engagement. We must work together to “make disciples of all nations” (peoples), listening to each other and to what the data is telling us.
Here’s how it works:
Laos was home to over 150 UUPGs just seven years ago. But with a systematic approach working with the national church, indigenous teams have been raised up, surveyed the field, mapped the groups, and then engaged these groups with the gospel. We thank God that there are now only 60 remaining UUPGs in Laos!
The implementation partners in Laos deployed teams into Nuba Mountains, Sudan to do a similar model there. The data was mapped and 54 new UUPGs were documented in one state alone! To engage these newly discovered tribes, a training center was built in partnership with the Sudanese churches in the area. Now, over 50 national missionaries have been deployed and already more than 25% of the UUPGs have been engaged!
Though the Caucasus have continued to be one of the most difficult to engage regions in the world, the LORD has stirred our hearts to go make disciples and plant churches. This project seeks to engage 14 UUPGs through training up Georgian and other nearby believers as near-field missionaries. With a newly established training center, the data mapping is beginning into this mountainous region.
As one of our local mission teams entered an unengaged community, a village leader shared that he had been having a recurring dream about a man in white (Jesus). In his dream, there were also two other men whom he didn't recognize. Soon after his dream, he saw the two missionaries enter his village. Immediately, he recognized them from his dream!
He said, "Hey, I know what you're talking about, I saw you in my dream!" And he immediately gave his life to follow Christ!
Until this story took place, this people group was completely unengaged and had never heard the gospel. This is just one example of how God is moving among unengaged peoples—drawing hearts, opening doors, and confirming His Word in miraculous ways.
